Forwarded by the GBC EC Posted October 19, 2004 From the EC: Dear devotees, Please accept our most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. We are informing you, as the below posted letter indicates, that HG Prithu Prabhu wishes to resign from his services, both as member of the Governing Body of ISKCON and as an initiating spiritual master. Therefore the GBC are making arrangements to help all those affected by his resignation, and we thank him for all his service and look forward to his continuing to serve in whatever capacity he can in the future. We also wish him the best regarding his health and welfare. Submitted by Nrsimhananda dasa Posted August 28, 2004 Because of the continued flagrant violation of international law, GBC law, and custom-tailored GBC resolutions on the specific issue, Brahmananda and Gargamuni are not allowed to give any keynote address, sit on the Vyasasana, emcee any ISKCON events, or be given any public stamp of approval until they are found to be in compliance with the GBC-brokered agreement that they entered into in 2002. Moreover, no ISKCON organizations or devotees are permitted to purchase illegitimate or legitimate goods from them. In effect, ISKCON members are to boycott the brothers' business altogether. Stop Copyright Violation From the GBC Executive Committee Posted August 22, 2004 Dear Devotees, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. The GBC has gone on record in its resolution of March 11, 2002, that it does not approve of the violation of copyrights, and it has prohibited such activities in ISKCON. Especially when devotees work hard and then the products they create are copied without prior communication or remuneration, it creates a disturbance in the society. With this in mind the GBC instructs all ISKCON temples, shops, and devotees to not purchase such goods. Posted July 1, 2004 Statement of the GBC Executive Committee Dear Vaisnavas, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. The GBC Executive Committee wishes to clarify for all ISKCON devotees that the website Chakra has no official connection to ISKCON whatsoever. Chakra has posted writings that we find directly offensive to Srila Prabhupada. Kirtanananda
Swami's From Anuttama Dasa Posted June 17, 2004 June 15, 2004– Dear Maharajas and Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am writing on behalf of the Executive Officers of the ISKCON North American Temple Presidents and GBC. Kirtanananda dasa Swami, aka Swami Bhaktipada, aka Keith Ham, will be released from the United States Federal Prison system Wednesday, June 16, 2004, having served approximately eight years in prison. Although unlikely, he may wish to visit your temple, or you may be contacted about the possibilities of such a visit. We are sending you this letter as an update of his continued status in relation to ISKCON. From Satsvarupa dasa Goswami posted May 19, 2004 For downloading. The file is zipped. Concerning Satsvarupa Maharaja Posted May 11, 2004 GBC Executive Committee Statement Dear Devotees, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. The following statement from the GBC Executive Committee represents ISKCON's official position on the subject at hand. At the end of this posting you will find a candid letter from Satsvarupa dasa Goswami about a falldown that occurred in his spiritual life about a year and a half ago. This took place within the context of his ongoing endeavors to serve while struggling with debilitated health. The GBC Executive Committee would first like to express its deep gratitude toward Satsvarupa das Goswami, a much loved devotee in the Hare Krsna movement, and acknowledge his career of dedicated devotional service, exemplary sadhana, and inspired literary preaching on behalf of Srila Prabhupada.
